Assistant Video News Editor

It’s a speedy, smart edit from the merciless point of view of its editors, with fresh work from a talented roster of renowned contributors.

We are seeking a junior level video news editor with basic Final Cut Pro video editing skills for our NY office. This role will be able to work an evening schedule to provide support to the Senior Video Producer. The assistant video news editor will research news clips and find relevant web content on an on-going basis and perform video editing for web clips using Final Cut Pro. Successful candidates will possess at least 1 -2 years experience working with video for a news organization.

Additional Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of and interest in celebrities, entertainment industry, and news/current events
- Must have a great eye for compelling videos and can quickly select unique but relevant clips
- Proficient in communication, both written and verbal
- Desire to work in a diverse, start up environment
