Created by Tina Brown and IAC, The Daily Beast curates the web’s best content and offers fresh works from its own talented roster of contributors. The Daily Beast is an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI).

The Daily Beast seeks a social media associate to support the marketing department. The associate must have extensive experience and knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, social bookmarking sites, and the blogosphere. Familiarity with web analytics and Technorati is not required, but strongly advantageous. The associate will assist with day-to-day outreach to The Daily Beast’s Twitter and Facebook communities, the blogosphere, and news outlets aggregated on the site. He/she will monitor trends and report the progress of The Daily Beast’s developments in the social media sphere as well as manage lists of contacts at blogs and websites across the web. News and pop-culture awareness essential. Must be available to work some nights and weekend hours.

Experience: 1-2 years new media or public relations experience. Strong communication and writing skills needed.
