Product Marketing Manager - Labs
Mountain View, CA, United States
Job Type: Full-Time
Mozilla, the organization behind the Firefox Web browser, is looking for a marketing all-star to join a team that's revolutionizing the way users around the world access the Web. The Product Marketing Manager will be a key contributor to Mozilla's outbound product marketing efforts for its innovation programs in general, and projects like the Concept Series, Ubiquity, Weave and Jetpack specifically. If you're passionate about the web, and are willing to roll-up your sleeves, then this position is for you.
Primary responsibilities: product marketing planning, messaging and positioning, market research, competitive and market analysis; developing a deep understanding of the browser product domain, market trends, user pain points, competitive landscape, and key business drivers in collaboration with the product development team; and coordinating community and press outreach on a worldwide basis.
Requirements:
* Able to contribute strategically and tactically in delivering on marketing objectives.
* Outstanding planning, writing, communications, research and analytical skills
* Extensive knowledge and experience in the consumer internet industry. Solid understanding of Web technology and competitive landscape.
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams throughout the product marketing lifecycle.
* At least 3 years of product marketing experience in consumer application software.
* Works effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
* Proven track record for driving multiple project simultaneously and successfully.
* Experience with open source an asset.
* BA, BS, or equivalent degree.
