Financial Engines has an immediate opening for an experienced multi-channel designer to help create a best-in-class customer experience for new financial services tailored to people nearing and in retirement. The Senior Designer will collaborate with the Design Lead for Retiree Services, developing and testing multi-channel customer touchpoints, creating presentations, and more. This is a hands-on position reporting to the Director of Retiree Services. The Senior Designer will work on a variety of critical projects that span functions including rapid prototyping, user testing, statement design, brand initiatives, online services, sales, and other customer facing print and promotional materials.
Responsibilities Include:
- Breakthrough design of end user (customer facing) materials that advance the company’s business, marketing, or branding objectives
- Translation of communication objectives into compelling, on-message, and on-brand materials
- Rapid prototyping of print and online materials for user testing
- Collaboration with internal and external teams to design/enhance the online experience
- Managing the Customer Experience team’s internal online resource (wiki site)
- Ensuring compliance with corporate and product branding standards
- Ability to look for improvement in overall processes, and to consistently drive implementation of changes and solutions
- Working across Creative disciplines to drive the best customer experience solution
- Communicating design requirements and working with Engineering to ensure successful implementation of customer experience design
Skills/Experience Required:
- 6+ years experience and proven track record in designing for multiple channels including online, print, sales and presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction/Digital Design or other Communications Design-related field preferred
- Exceptional design skills with a strong understanding of brand
- Deep understanding of and ability to evolve design systems
- Complete knowledge of Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign. Experienced with HTML, Office Suite, Acrobat. Flash knowledge is a plus.
