According to Carter, the candidate experience is paramount today, and Taylor needed a proven way to encourage more referrals, simplify the overall application process, and create more touch-points with candidates – in order to make them feel like family from day one.

Taylor Corporation turned to Jobvite’s innovative suite of recruiting tools to bolster their mobile recruiting efforts, drive more referrals, and improve the overall candidate experience. According to Carter, Jobvite’s simple mobile applications and texting functionality have been a huge boon for the company.
“Nearly two-thirds of our hires work in manufacturing, and not at a desk,” said Carter. “So, they don’t have access to a computer every day, but they do have their smartphone with them.”
With Jobvite Text, Taylor has dramatically improved the candidate experience by sending them more frequent updates on their application status, coordinating start dates seamlessly, and keeping them informed throughout the hiring process. Carter said this has worked in tandem with Jobvite Refer to capitalize on the number of new referrals coming to them through the Jobvite platform.
“We’re seeing a distinct spike in referrals compared to previous years thanks to Jobvite,” said Carter. “In combination with our mobile-optimized applications and improved candidate experience, we’ve been able to bring on more qualified workers, and at a faster rate.”

With Jobvite, Taylor has been able to dramatically increase its number of referrals year-over-year. According to Carter, being able to tap into their existing employee networks has led to more quality hires, faster time-to-fill, and reduced spending on recruitment marketing.
“We’re achieving a higher return-on-investment and improving our hiring numbers with Jobvite,” said Carter. “We’ve decreased LinkedIn spend by 90% over the years. That’s huge dollar savings thanks to Jobvite Refer, which has been effective and much easier to use.”
But Taylor isn’t finished yet. Carter said that the company hopes to further improve the candidate experience with the addition of video interviews and chatbots in the coming months.
