Jobvite Standard Career Sites

Standard career sites are automatically generated and immediately available after Jobvite instance is created for the customer. In terms of implementation, we recommend that your career website is embedded in an iFrame or fully hosted by Jobvite.

Data Migration Technical Specifications


  • Our import tools ultimately require data in a CSV file format.
  • Data from Microsoft Excel (XLS), Microsoft Outlook (PST), Microsoft SQL Server file formats, or other Applicant Tracking Systems require extra data manipulation, which will be quoted in advance.
  • We can import one resume and cover letter in plain text per candidate record.
  • We can attach one resume and cover letter, in the original file format per candidate record.
  • We can parse most DOC files and some DOCX files.
  • We can parse most PDF files, but cannot process PDFs in a locked, scanned, or non-text format.

Other Important Information

  • Imports require an iterative process between Jobvite and the customer, usually four weeks in duration, and include one field mapping session.
  • If other Candidate or Requisition fields not mentioned above are required, we create custom fields.
  • Customer must combine multiple note fields into one prior to any import by Jobvite.
  • Customer must map Resume, Cover Letter and Note attachments into a CSV file with the candidate list and include the three separate paths to the physical files.
  • Jobvite determines duplicate candidate records based on e-mail address and will only import the first occurrence of such e-mail address.
  • Jobvite does not determine duplicate requisition records; and all records will be imported.
  • If no Candidate Status is specified, Jobvite will import as a new status, which may require additional customer updates after the import is completed.
  • If no Requisition Status is specified, Jobvite will import as a draft status, which will require additional customer updates after the import is completed.
  • Jobvite does not import messages, interview evaluations or interview Q&A unless they meet the field guidelines outlined above.
  • Other than reviewing the data for corruption, Jobvite will not analyze the data for accuracy.
  • Jobvite processes the data received from the customer as final and in good quality.
  • Jobvite performs one sample import of 100 records and, upon customer review of sample, one final import of all remaining records.
  • Any other customer specification not outlined above is out of the scope of our data migration fee.
  • Out-of-scope services will be documented in advance, delivered at the rate of $250 per hour, approved in advance by the customer, and require additional time to complete the data migration project.
