SAN FRANCISCO – July 1, 2008 – Jobvite, provider of next-generation recruitment solutions, today announced the appointment of Dan Finnigan as President and Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Finnigan will lead the company, working closely alongside Jobvite founder and former CEO, Jesper Schultz, who will take the role of Chief Product Officer. Finnigan’s appointment comes as Jobvite continues to win leading edge customers and achieve rapid growth with its Web 2.0 recruitment application.
Previously, Finnigan served as Senior Vice President of Yahoo and General Manager of Yahoo! HotJobs. At Yahoo! Finnigan drove substantial growth in revenue, profitability and traffic for the HotJobs business, culminating in establishing Yahoo and HotJobs’ partnership with a consortium of over 700 newspapers, today representing 41 percent of total Sunday circulation in the U.S.
Prior to Yahoo!, Finnigan led the creation of Knight Ridder Digital, subsidiary of the second largest newspaper company, serving as President and CEO. At Knight Ridder, Finnigan spearheaded its acquisition of CareerBuilder in 2000. Prior to that, Finnigan co-founded and served as CEO for SBC Interactive, launching SMARTpages.com, now known as Yellowpages.com, the leading online business directory for consumers. Finnigan comes to Jobvite directly from Benchmark Capital, where he served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
